On Friday 10, September 2021 Team Bentley (John and his brother Gary) will set out to complete the Classic C2C cycle ride from the harbour at Whitehaven to the beach at Whitley Bay. The brothers will be travelling across Cumbria and Northumberland and aim to complete the ride in under 20 hours ride time.
John & Gary have completed numerous long distance bike rides together but now in their (lateish) 50’s and with a time target to beat, this will be a toughie. Between them they have also completed 12 full marathons (Gary has run 12 and John has run 0).
“This is Gary and me at an early training camp. Gary is on the right for those who don’t know us,” said John!
Team Bentley’s C2C 2021 effort is being supported by Barbara and Amy Bentley who will be riding upfront in our support vehicle.
As always the brothers are raising money in the name of Jaime’s Fund. The sponsored ride will see all donations go to MNDA Manchesterto assist our good friend Gavin Price in achieving his goal of raising £100K for this cause.
