Congratulations to our apprentice, Sophie Brown, who has successfully completed the first year of her Higher National Diploma in Lift and Escalator Technology at University of Northampton.

She achieved all As and A*s in her exams that covering  the fundamental concepts of lift technology, electrical and electronic, and mechanical engineering in the context of the industry.

Sophie, 19, from Stockport, Manchester, has already achieved a Level 3 BTEC in engineering from Openshaw campus of Manchester Colleges.

John Bentley, director at LECS UK,  said: “It’s a pleasure to have Sophie working as part of the LECS UK team this year. Well done to her on her exam success and her continued commitment to her apprenticeship programme. Sophie’s on-site work experience is also progressing well”

Sophie said: “I’ve really enjoyed my first year working in the industry. The experience has been brilliant.  The team at LECS UK is very supportive of me and my career development in the lift and escalator sector.  I am thrilled to have completed my first year and to have passed all my exams.”
