LECS (UK) announces its expansion into the Middle East with the official launch of LECS (UAE) and a new dedicated base in Dubai.

The establishment of LECS UAE follows years of successful operation in the region on a semi-remote basis. With the LECS team witnessing a surge in client demand for large-scale modernisation projects, the necessity for a local UAE operational base became evident.

Dave Cooper, CEO of LECS UAE expanded on the rationale behind the opening of its Dubai office, saying: “Our longstanding presence in the Middle East has predominantly revolved around new build projects, mostly characterised by UK desk-based activities supported by occasional site visits. More recently we’ve observed a significant uptake in the modernisation of existing lifts in the region, coupled with the imperative for comprehensive site surveys  – demanding our expansion to the region with a more permanent presence.“

LECS UK, established in 1991, will continue its high-profile operation servicing the  UK market from its  offices in London, Manchester and East Sussex, while LECS UAE, based in Dubai, will service the wider Middle East region with a number of projects already underway.

Employing only ECUK and/or FEANI registered engineers for all advisory operations, the team at LECS UK and LECS UAE specialise in the movement of people and goods, to include lifts, escalators, cable cars, funiculars, cranes, accessible platforms and most forms of mechanical handling equipment.
