Michael Ford, of LECS UK, was conferred with a 2:1 honours degree in engineering last month.

Following four years of study, Michael graduated as a bachelor of engineering from the Open University.  Michael has now started a MSc in lift engineering at the University of Northampton, on a part-time basis, while he continues his work at LECS UK.

Michael said: “Ever since I can remember I’ve wanted to be an engineer!  Graduating with an honours degree following years of study and hard work has been utterly rewarding!

“My colleagues at LECS UK and, of course, my wife and family have been a tremendous support throughout this period.”

Michael’s appointment at LECS UK followed an eight-year tenure at Allianz Engineering Construction and Power. With a Higher National Certificate in mechanical engineering, Michael was team leader for mechanical fitters overseeing servicing, pre-planned maintenance and inspection of vehicles for HM Forces.
