First of four lifts fully modernised in 1964 Building

LECS (UK) Ltd is pleased to be handing over the first of four lifts at 20 story residential block, South Cliff Tower - the tallest building in Eastbourne, East Sussex

The lifts were installed in 1964 when the building was originally constructed. The newly modernised lifts have more energy efficient drive systems with AC VF drives replacing the former DC Ward Leonard system as well as improved call handling algorithms, regenerative drives and green control panel designs that go into idle mode when not required in service. This means that the residents will see a huge reduction in power consumption and associated electricity costs.

LECS (UK) is proud to be the independent consultants on this modernization project, working alongside OTIS using its GEN2 MOD system.
