Project Description

For a homeowner and car enthusiast in Bristol finding ways to maximise their car storage at home was a priority. Wishing for a space-saving mechanism to keep vehicles in an underground carpark, the home owner instructed LECS UK to advise on the project.

LECS UK, as independent consulting engineers, advised on the specification, developed and managed the tender and, once awarded, acted as project managers –  liaising and managing contractors throughout.

Serapid’s rigid chain technology was specified for the project, with four rigid chain columns that raise and lower the vehicle lift providing access to the underground car park. The roof of the car lift forms part of the driveway. The two-vehicle car lift is fully bespoke and constructed from steel and glass providing an elegant finish.
